Building Your House

An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house-building business to live a more leisurely life with his wife and enjoy his extended family. He would miss the paycheck each week, but he wanted to retire. They could get by. The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go & asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter said yes, but over time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end a dedicated career. When the carpenter finished his work, his employer came to inspect the house. Then he handed the front-door key to the carpenter and said, "This is your house... my gift to you." The carpenter was shocked! What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently. So it is with us. We build our lives, a day at a time, often putting less than our best into the building. Then, with a shock, we realize we have to live in the house we have built. If we could do it over, we would do it much differently. But, you cannot go back. You are the carpenter, and every day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. Someone once said, "Life is a do-it-yourself project." Your attitude, and the choices you make today, help build the "house" you will live in tomorrow. Therefore, build wisely!

But why he wanted to use the name of his friend? He should know parent will never let him down, no matter how. His friend is not his parent's flesh of flesh. Of cox she may doubt. This may happen to anyone, if your son say such thing to you, most of us might doubt... includes me. Why? ... doubt, the answer might be "yes", might be "no".

Christmas Musical Performance 2006 Preparation: Part 3

One word - "Exhausted". Initially yesterday practice started at 8.30pm, ended up started at around 9.15pm, until 11.40pm. Phew~ only managed to lie on my bed at 1.30am, oh gosh! ... I think Mainland China will love and keep me as part of them - Panda Bear. This really need the wisdom from our heavenly Father... wisdom, patience, health, humble, strength... name it you have it, by prayer, of cause. I need a rest .... Z..z.....z........

Trip to Xi'an, China

It was really a good experience for to travel to China. It really opened my eyes to see the Mainland Chinese's culture and life style there. First, the traffic amazed me. You can see car, lorry, bicycle, 3-wheeled bycicle, motorbike and padestrian along the traffic. Even red or green, it doesn't matter, some of them not bother at all. Maybe those padestrian, bycicle and and 3-wheeled bycicle need not a license, so colors on the traffic light doesn't bother them at all??? But the amazing part was, even the traffics were messily crossing to each other. But they never shown their anger or wind the horn. No unhappy incident happened. The car can stop in the middle of the road to let a bycicle riding over slowly... You can just see the traffic is just smooth!!! Secondly, the public toilet. Hmm... I think they can do better than it is now, I believe. Like Lizhi said, they need maintainance and renovation. Well, particularly those tourism places. I hope in year 2008, they can work out something to "make it better". A clean public toilet is so important to those tourists. Third, smoking & non-smoking area. I strongly recommend and support those restaurants which reinforce this scheme. Please please please... the experience was like smoke gets in my eyes, mouth, nose and ear, even my pants and shirt!!! Sorry-lah, no smoking pls. Fourth, hmm... big buildings, big roads, big grave yards. I can't imagine the Emperor Qing's grave yard is a hill, until I see it. Gosh...! Fifth, hotel breakfast. Hmm... international breakfast is more suitable for us. "Bread, sausage, egg and a cup of milk are more than enuf, thanks for the fried mee-hoon, bao, flowery flour roll, porridge, pickled vege, soya bean, fried mix vege, chinese dumpling...etc etc". "And! ... no fried fried in the dining area, let me have a fresh morning." Pai seh, I am very "yim-chim" kind of person. Hehe ... well, you have to ear the same shirt and pants for the whole day!!! Once for all~ But thank God for this trip. A new chapter of my experience...! Hurray!!!~ May God bless China!

在差不多完成80%手头上的工作时。PETER仔从印度公干回来，说改就改。虽然一开始心里有些埋怨说，怎么这个时候才来说。但是，还是改了。现在反而还好，多个人来帮忙。 要不然， 我一个人真的没有这么时间，还有精力。感谢主的安排。所以说嘛，神的思念高过人的思念。刚开始还不识好歹的低咕了一番。

现在我只负责编写他们的对白、协导、设计宣传单张和手册，印刷和打点其它的道具... 感谢PETER仔的救命之恩。你们所付出的，上帝将会多多恩代，并加添给你们。

A Love Prayer

Lord , Because love is patient Help me to be slow to judge, but quick to listen. Hesitant to criticize, but eager to encourage, remembering your endless patience with me. Because love is kind Help my words to be gentle and my actions to be thoughtful. Remind me to smile and to say Please and Thank You because those little things still mean so much. Because love does not envy or boast, and it is not proud Help me have a heart that is humble and sees the good in others. May I celebrate and appreciate all that I have and all that I am, as well as doing the same for those around me. Because love is not rude or self-seeking Help me to speak words that are easy on the ear and on the heart. When Im tempted to get wrapped up in my own little world, remind me theres a great big world out there full of needs and hurts. Because love is not easily angered and keeps no record of wrongs Help me to forgive others as you have forgiven me. When I want to hold onto a grudge, gently help me release it so I can reach out with a hand of love instead. Because love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth Help me stand up for what is right and good. May I defend the defenseless, and help the helpless. 圣诞节即将来临

我想，各教会的弟兄姊妹都在为这一天而忙碌了吧? 不知道锡菲华人基督教会又如何呢? 我这里的蒲种牧邻浸信教会也一样。今年，华文堂即将会为蒲种的民众们带来音乐剧 - 平安夜里的主角。和往常不一样的是，我们在今年会注重于这一个音乐剧而已。因为去年都准备了一系列的表演，让弟兄姊妹忙坏了。注重于这一个音乐剧，并希望可以做得更好! 明明确确的将讯息带给到场的朋友们。必要做好功课，服侍上帝所拣选的子民。 最近就赶着写剧本，设计传单，设计T-Shirt的图案，选歌，安排练习时间... 一连串没有停过。没办法，帮忙收割的人还需要很多。 神的恩典够我们用，不必忧虑，只做好我们的本分，其他的，全能的上帝会看顾。
